Donald Butler, St. John’s, Newfoundland, wins over $3,500
One of five Fairstone customers across Canada to win the BEST. LOAN. EVER.

St. John’s, NL (June 29, 2016) — Five Fairstone have won the BEST. LOAN. EVER. One of those entrants was Donald Butler, who became a customer at the St. John’s Fairstone branch almost 10 years ago. Donald is the third person from Newfoundland to win Fairstone’s bi-annual contest, joining Fall 2015 winners William Guy (Grand Falls-Windsor) and Shawn Slade (Carbonear).

The BEST. LOAN. EVER. contest offered customers the opportunity to win the value of their loan (up to $10,000). In the month of April more than 13,000 customers across Canada entered the contest.

Donald said he was “shocked and delighted” when he received the call from his local Branch Manager, Bev Pender, telling him he’d won over $3,500. “The news made my day,” he said. Donald plans to use his prize to pay off his loan.

“Congratulations to all of the winners from across Canada,” said Scott Wood, President, Fairstone. “With over 200 branches coast to coast, Fairstone is here to support people during their times of financial need. We’re proud to make a difference in our customers’ lives. Thank you to everyone who entered our contest.”

Customers will have another chance to win the BEST. LOAN. EVER. in October of this year. For more information about the five winners and for full contest details, please visit loan.Fairstone.ca/Best-Loan-Ever.
