The sponsor of this Contest is Fairstone.

There are a total of ten (10) prizes (each, a “Prize”) available to be won across Canada during the Contest Period.

The amount of each Prize will be $4,000.00, payable in two installments by cheque:

All dollar amounts in these Contest Rules are in Canadian dollars. The Prize will be awarded to the entrants selected by the Sponsor.

The Prize cannot be transferred for value. A prize must be accepted as awarded, without substitutions or transfers, except in Fairstone’s sole discretion.

Winners must comply with Contest Rules, terms and conditions. Fairstone reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Any additional costs incurred in collecting and using the Prize are the winner’s responsibility. During the Contest Period, there is a maximum of one Prize awarded per entrant. During the Contest Period, Entrants must submit a video of themselves via the following website The video must be of a maximum duration of 2 minutes, describing how the Prize would enable the Entrants to establish themselves and begin their career, while avoiding taking on extra debt.

Upon receipt of such video, an electronic entry into the Contest will be automatically created.

All electronic entries must include the contestant’s first and last name, email address, residential address and telephone number. An electronic entry will generate one (1) entry into the Contest. If, at any time prior to awarding any Prize, Fairstone discovers that an entrant has attempted to register for this Contest other than in accordance with these Contest Rules, that entrant may be disqualified from the Contest.

Limit of one (1) entry into the Contest per entrant, regardless of method of entry.

A panel of Fairstone employees will act as judges and review applications prior to May 4, 2018 to determine the top ten finalists from all entries received by the Contest deadline. Winners will be selected based on their ability to present an engaging, compelling case for themselves through video. The selection of winners will not be based on GPA but students must show proof of graduation when the Prize is awarded.

The odds of winning a Prize depend upon the number of entries received by the Contest deadline. Fairstone will contact the selected entrants by the telephone and/or email address provided through the registration process. If Fairstone, acting reasonably, cannot contact a selected entrant using the telephone number or email provided on the ballot within seven business days of the date of selection of the winners or if such person does not qualify, another winner will be selected. Fairstone will then make reasonable efforts to contact and qualify that person within seven further business days, failing which another winner will be selected, and so on, until a selected entrant is contacted and qualifies for the Prize or until the Prize Claim Deadline (as defined below).

If your name is selected, once Fairstone verifies whether you have complied with these rules, you must sign Fairstone’s standard release form before being entitled to receive the Prize. Winners will be notified between May 18th and May 31st, 2018.

Winners must complete, (electronically) sign and return the standard release form to Fairstone within five business days of receiving it or the winner may be disqualified and Fairstone may select another entrant for a chance to win.
