Celebrating financial literacy at Fairstone

November is financial literacy month in Canada. Read on to see how Fairstone is working to make financial literacy a reality for our customers.

At Fairstone, we believe financial literacy is important for all Canadians. Our Lending Specialists work year round to help customers better understand the loan process, and to help ensure all Canadians have access to the information they need to create a better financial future.

Here are a few initiatives we’re particularly proud of:

Instant Loan Quote

The first of its kind in Canada, instant loan quote gives you the opportunity to get information about personal loans without having to actually apply for credit. Using a soft credit pull (which has no impact on a person’s credit score), instant loan quote allows you to see how much you would be eligible to borrow from Fairstone, the interest rate you could receive, your payment options and amount, and how long you could take to pay back your loan.

Our partnership of JA Canada

Through our work with JA Canada, Fairstone provides funding and instructors for JA Canada’s Dollars with Sense and Economics for Success programming. These programs are designed for students in grade 7 and 8 classrooms across Canada, and help explain financial terms and instill solid money management habits among youth.

Our (really awesome) blog

We update our blog regularly, and are always trying to post financial content that will be informative and helpful for our readers. We’re also always open to suggestions, so if there’s something you would like us to write about, let us know !

Our online tools

In addition to instant quote, our website hosts several online tools to help you better understand our loan products. This includes a payment calculator, a debt consolidation calculator and a personal loan calculator. We also have several sections of Frequently Asked Questions to give you more information about our loan products, borrowing money and our company.

While financial literacy month is in November, we work all year to help our customers understand finances, and are proud to continue to do so.
